License & usage

noteloom is released under the MIT License — one of the most permissive open-source licenses available. In short: you can use it in personal or commercial projects, modify it, and distribute it, free of charge, as long as the copyright notice stays attached.

A request, not a restriction

The MIT license technically permits reselling the software itself. We're asking, in good faith, that you don't package noteloom up as-is (or with cosmetic changes) and resell it as its own paid product or template — a "noteloom, but I'm charging for it" listing on a marketplace, for instance. Building a product with noteloom inside it, including a paid one, is exactly what it's for and always welcome.
